TALES2INSPIRE® AGENT REPRESENTATION AGREEMENT

For purposes of this agreement, the words “story teller” will be used to denote the following party.

By signing this agreement, the story teller takes full legal responsibility for its ownership and holds Tales2Inspire® harmless in the event of any contrary claims to this ownership. The story teller warrants that this is a true story, and that the subject of this story adheres to one of the following parameters:

a) The story teller is the subject of the story.

b) The story teller is the parent or legal guardian of a minor child who is the subject of this story.

c) The story teller has gained full legal rights to exploit the story of a subject beyond those listed as parameters a) and b), above. 

It is the responsibility of the story teller to obtain full written consent of the subject of a story defined above under parameter c).

The story teller further grants Tales2Inspire® full right and authority to represent them as the exclusive and sole agent in the sale of their story, currently published in Tales2Inspire ~ The ______________________ Collection. By signing this agreement, the story teller grants Tales2Inspire® the right to seek media sale of their story, to be defined but not limited to magazine, newspaper, internet, television and/or movie rights. 

This agreement will be an exclusive contract between the story teller and Tales2Inspire® for a 36 month period, beginning on the date it is signed by both parties. Once signed, the story teller will not engage any other entity to serve in this capacity for that 36 month period. In the event that other inquiries into the sale or purchase of said story occur, the story teller will enter into no other written or oral agreement, but will direct such inquiries to Tales2Inspire®. This agreement can be renewed by mutual consent of both parties after the initial 36 month period expires.

The story teller’s net earnings from the sale of their story will be based on the sale price of the story minus any third party costs. Tales2Inspire® will provide the story owner with a full accounting of expenses before payment is made. The story teller will be responsible for sales taxes on their portion of the earnings, if applicable. Tales2Inspire® makes no promises to the story teller, either explicit or implicit, that their story will be sold.

If a sale occurs, payment will be made based on the following scale:

Net earnings from sale price of story:

Story purchase price: up to $5000: Tales2Inspire® Finder’s fee:20% of net sale price

Story purchase price: $5000 – $20,000: Tales2Inspire® Finder’s fee:15% of net sale price

Story purchase price: $20,000 – $40,000: Tales2Inspire® Finder’s fee:12% of net sale price

Story purchase price: $40,000 and above: Tales2Inspire® Finder’s fee:10% of net sale price

I hereby grant Tales2Inspire® full right and authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of myself and any other person(s) with a proprietary interest in this story.
