Time plays different depending on how we feel. It stretches, contracts, rewinds, and sometimes skips like a scratched record. For my daughter Claudia, it did more than that—it carried her away. At first, we thought she was just daydreaming. But when her eyes went blank mid-sentence, we knew something was different. The diagnosis? Absence seizures. Common, they said. But how do you tell a six-year-old that her brain sometimes leaves without her?
