How does one overcome the pain of such loss? He decides to takes a cross country motor trip to distract himself from his grief, where a chance encounter at a roadside information center begins to lighten his mood. Here he meets a family who find joy in simply learning that they can return to their storm ravaged neighborhood. Their one wish is now fulfilled. The elderly man’s terminally ill wife will be able to live out her final days at home. James offers to follow them back to their home to help them unload their trailer. His simple act of kindness is keenly rewarded by what happens next in this heartwarming story.
