Bash Bish Falls

This is the inspiring story of a childhood experience that left an indelible mark on this author’s soul. It was a trip to an incredible place called Bash Bish Falls.

Janet grew up in Brooklyn, a bustling suburb of New York City. But when she was 11, a neighbor friend invited her family to spend a week with her in her Connecticut summer home. Once there, they packed a picnic lunch and took a day to head to a special place her Dad knew as a young boy.

Bash Bish Falls transported her to a place beyond her imagination. A rugged hiking trail led them by rivers, granite rock formations and gigantic pine trees. The smell of the forest was fresh and clean, so different from the city. At the end of the trail they came to a magnificent, thundering waterfall, which fell into an emerald pool.

 This trip was like a touch of magic, awakening Janet to her love of nature and the peace that nature brings.
