This is the inspiring story of a girl who faced many obstacles in her life, but just wouldn’t give up on her dreams.
Marilyn June Janson continually met wtth academic challenges at school, had difficulty making friends both at home and during her summers at overnight camp. Her family, though well meaning, tried to help her by offering incentives she simply was unable to fulfill. Then she found peace and courage through a horseback riding program at sleep-away camp. The successful relationship between this rider and her horse helped Marilyn apply those lessons learned to many other aspects of her life. She weathered through some challenging storms to reach the successes that followed. Today Marilyn is a certified Peer Support Specialist and group facilitator. But she will never forget Everette, the horse that loved her unconditionally and gave her the courage to persevere.
